Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Walton who were killed when their automobile was struck by a Chiago & Northwestern passenger train at the railroad crossing in Wolsey Tuesday (Nov. 16, 1948) are to be held at Wessington at 2:30 o'clock Friday afternoon. Burial will be in the Wessington Cemetery.
The Waltons are survived by four sons and three daughters, including 15-year-old twins, students at Wessington High School. The sons are: Melvin of Omaha; Lyle, Canton, O.; Marvin, Wessington, and Leon at home and the daughters: Mrs. Roberta Marshall, Kansas City, Mo.; Mrs. Althea Kissner, Rockham and Cleone, twin to Leon, at home. There are two grandchildren.
Mr. Walton is survived by five brothers and three sisters: Truman, Tulare; Elmer, Lemmon; Arthur, Brookings; Fred, Bronson, Mich.; Clair, Larned, Kan.; Mrs. Sarah Dickson, Santa Monica, Calif.; Mrs. Susie Horn, Ferguson, Calif.; Mrs. Savilla Wright, Seattle, Wash.
Mrs. Walton is survived by one brother, Charles O'Hara of Huron.
Mr. Walton was born near Wessington April 19, 1886. His wife, the former Marilla O'Hara was born in Fall City, Neb., Nov. 13, 1895 They were married in Fall City, Neb. in 1913 and have lived in the Bonilla and Wessington vicinity since 1917.
