Mrs. Katherine Bungert, 77, wife of Fred Bungert of Windsor died Friday [Feb 2, 1964[ at 4 p.m. at Weld County General Hospital.
She was born Jan 6, 1887, at Dittle [Dietel], Russia. She was married there on Christmas Day in 1906. She and her husband came to the United States in 1912, settling first at Fort Collins, [CO]. After a year they moved to Windsor. He worked on farms in that area and also for Great Western Sugar Company, and the town of Windsor before retiring 19 years ago. Mr. and Mrs. Bungert had lived in Windsor since.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Bungert is survived by three children, Mrs. Jake (Mary) Hoff of Denver; Mrs. Martha Ward of Arvada; and Alec Bungert of Windsor six grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren; and one sister; Mrs. Eva Huck of Bayard, Neb.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from Zion United Church of Christ, Windsor. Interment will be at Lakeview Cemetery. Bishop-Richards Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
