Funeral Services for William F. Hankle, 81, will be conducted Friday, June 30,at Bussell Funeral Home. He died Tuesday, June 27 at the Windsor Health Care Center.

Mr. Hankle was born Nov. 13, 1896 in Dönhof, Russia to Fred and Eva Hankel [sic]. He came to the USA in 1911 and initially settled in Loveland. He attended school in Russia and Loveland before moving to Windsor.

He married Mary Elizabeth Jacoby on Sept.9, 1915 at St. Johns Evangelical Lutheran Church in Windsor and became a citizen of the USA in 1929.

Mr. Hankle worked in agriculture and many Great Western Sugar Company campaigns.

Survivors [now deceased] include his wife, Mary, of 2 Elm St.; one son, Herman (Ruby) Hankle of Denver and 2 daughters, Mrs. Carl (Leah) Hein of Portland, OR, and Mrs. Russell (Margaret) Hansford of Greeley. Also 2 brothers, Fred Hankel of Mitchell, NE and Henry Hankel of Fort Collins; 2 sisters, Mrs. Henry (Eva) Jacoby of Windsor and Mrs. Dave (Elizabeth) Brunner of Greeley. Survived by 3 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

Preceding Mr. Hinkle in death were his parents, his brother Phillip Hankel [sic] and a son, Carl Hankle, a pilot in the Army Air Corps during World War II.
