Funeral Wed. For John Hettinger--Windsor---Funeral services for John Hettinger, Sr., 87, of 624 Elm St., Windsor, will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday from the Evangelical Congregational Church, with interment at Lakeview Cemetery. Richards Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Hettinger died Saturday night at Weld county General hospital. He had been hospitalized since undergoing surgery a month ago. Born June 18, 1872 at Dittel (Dietel), Russia, Hettinger was married there Dec. 27, 1899 to Elizabeth Batt. They came to the United States in 1906 and located at Windsor. Mrs. Hettinger died there some years ago. Hettinger had lived in the Windsor community for more than 50 years. He spent a short time in Michigan. He and Elizabeth Petri were married April 27, 1938.
Mrs. Hettinger survives, as do two sons, John and Jacob Hettinger; a daughter, Mrs. Mary Deines of Fort Collins; six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren. [John Hettinger's children by his first wife].
