Ray was born in Hereford, son of the late Andrew G. and Ellen (Gery) Kriebel.
He was a 1938 graduate of East Greenville High School and served in the U.S. Navy Pacific Theater during World War II.
He worked on his father's farm and later was the owner and operator of A.G. Kriebel Meats, Hereford, a butcher shop started by his father in 1898. He retired and closed the shop in 1988.
Ray was a life long member of Palm Schwenkfelder Church, where he served on the Board of Trustees and as Financial Secretary for 25 years. He was also a member of the American Legion in Palm.
Services were held February 4, 2011 at Palm Schwenkfelder Church, Palm. Interment followed services in the church cemetery.
