Frieda Pauline Kellenberger was born Sept. 15, 1901 at West Amana to Adolph and Clara Kellenberger. On June 12, 1930 she married Albert Schoettmer in Marengo, Iowa. In 1952 the couple moved to Vinton. Frieda was a longtime member of the Navy of Mothers. She enjoyed gardening and growing flowers and she especially loved spending time with her grandchildren. In recent years, she particularly enjoyed riding in her son, John's, golf cart. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband of 62 years; a son, Albert Jr.; 2 sisters, Clara and Selma; and 5 brothers; Edward, Rudolph, Conrad, Alfred, and Carl.(Info from the Central City Newsletter May 21, 2002
