Lest We Forget
Anna Hankle, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. George Heberlein, was born Feb. 5, 1879 at Walter, Russia, where she was baptized and confirmed in Christian faith. She and John Dill were married Feb. 1, 1900. They had 11 children of whom one preceded his parents in death. Coming to America in 1912, the Hankles [sic, s/b Dills] lived first at Fort Collins then near Greeley before retiring to Greeley in 1945. Her husband [Dill] died in 1949 and she married William Hankle of Denver in 1950. After an extended illness, the deceased was summoned April 6, 1964, at the age of 85 years, 1 month, and 2 days. Her survivors include her husband, 7 sons, 3 daughters, 34 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 3 step-sons; 2 step-daughters, and other relatives and friends. "The Lord is our strength and righteousness."
