Conrad Foose was born Nov. 20, 1879, in Frank, Russia, the son of the married couple Conrad Foose and Katarinmargret nee Hofferber. Here he was baptized while an infant and confirmed at age 15. He came to this country while still a young man directly to Greeley, CO in 1906 where he lived until his death. He married Katharina Bernhardt in 1907; she died in 1918. He married for the second time in 1923, his surviving wife, Eva nee Wolf. He with his family were members of our church; they attended regularly and willingly. He was present until his illness caused his absence. He died after a lingering illness on Saturday, Sep. 17, 1955 at the age of 75 years, 9 months and 28 days.
He is survived by his wife, two sons, Reuben and Reinhold Foose of Greeley, 4 stepsons: Alex Haffner of Greybull, WY, Jacob Haffner of Quincy, WA, Samuel and David, both of Greeley; 2 stepdaughters: Mrs. Henry Brungard of Cheyenne, WY, and Mrs. Martha Greenwood of Greeley; two sisters, Mrs. Katharina Harding of Greeley and Mrs. Anna Held of Windsor, CO as well as other relatives and friend.
