Jacob Kechter,81 died Tuesday June 3, at Weld County General Hospital. He was born April 3, 1894 at Klub, Russia where he was reared and married Alice Rueber on April 28, 1912. They immigrated to Hasting Nebraska in 1913, later ranching at Shawnee, Wyoming until moving to Fort Morgan where they farmed. In 1960 they came to Greeley, and worked for the University of Northern Colorado until retiring in 1969.
He was a member of the Paul's Congregational Church.
He is survived by his wife Alice of Greeley, two daughters, Mrs. Roy (Helen) Boehm of Greeley, and Mrs. James (Stella) Carson of Denver, a son Raymond of Cheyenne, Wyoming , a brother Pete Kechter of Casper, Wyoming , nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at St. Paul's congregational Church in Greeley with interment in Linn grove Cemetery
