"Michael Will Died Here Sunday Evening
Michael Will, 78, died Sunday evening at the Mennonite hospital after an illness of three weeks. Mr. Will had been a resident of this community for the pat 35 years.
He was born in Walga (sic-Volga) Russia on Nov. 8, 1870.
After coming to this country, he farmed six miles east of La Junta from 1914 until his retirement.
Mrs. Will died in 1928.
He is survived by five daughters, Mrs. Ross Phillips and Mrs. Lydia Miller, both of La Junta, Mrs. Mary Miller of Sugar City. Mrs. Mollie Snelgrove of San Bernardino, Calif.; and Mrs. Katie Williams of Witchita, Kan., and six sons, Albert of La Junta, Henry of Las Vegas, N.M. William of Rocky Ford, Alec (sic), Carl, and Edward, all of Denver. He also leaves six nieces, three nephews, 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was a member of the Baptist Tabernacle. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the La Junta Baptist Tabernacle with the Rev. C.F. Peterson, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Fairview cemetery.
