Mrs. Georgie Patrick Cunningham, 93, of Medina, Ohio, formerly of Booneville, died Tuesday, Oct. 31, 1989, at Evergreen Care Center in Medina, Ohio, after an extended illness.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 4, at 11 a.m. at McMillan Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Bobby Hankins officiating. Burial was in Booneville Cemetery.

Pallbearers were Hugh Brown Patrick, John W. Langford, Roland Brock, Dr. W. L. Stroup Jr., Ben Taylor Smith and Danny Jumper.

Mrs. Cunningham was the widow of William W. Cunningham Jr. who preceded her in death in 1952. She was the daughter of the late George W. Patrick Jr. and Lulu McMillan Patrick.

Mrs. Cunningham graduated from Booneville High School in 1914 and attended business school in Booneville. She was a retired teacher of piano in the Booneville Schools. Before her marriage, she was employed by the Simmons Company in Birmingham and later by the law firm of Cunningham and Berry in Booneville. She was pianist for the First Methodist Church and other musical organizations in Booneville.

While living in Altamont, Ill., she was president of the Women's Society of Christian Service of the First United Methodist Church. She returned to Booneville in 1952 where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Booneville, the D. T. Beall Chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, the Order of the Eastern Star, the Thursday Study Club and a charter member and Past Regent of the Natchez Trace Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by one son, William Patrick Cunningham of Litchfield, Ohio; one daughter. Mrs. Paul W. (Bettie) Schumacher, of Booneville and Conway, Ark.; one sister, Mrs. J. F. (Juanita) Milton Jr. of Calhoun City; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

Mrs. Cunningham was preceded in death by her brothers, Roy McMillan Patrick, Dr. Bernard Patrick, Hugh Wilson Patrick, Julian Patrick, and her sister Inez Patrick Edwards.
