Mr. Pfeiffer was born in Pekin Nov. 10, 1867, a son of George and Susan Junker Pfeiffer. He married Rose Bequeath Pfeiffer in Pekin, Jan 1, 1906 and she died Feb 19, 1944. Surviving are a daughter Mrs. Robert Planck, Pekin, two grandchildren, Gary and Kent, four sisters, Mrs. Lilly Wetzel and Mrs. Henry Charlton, Pekin, Mrs. Sophie Buerke, Peoria, and Mrs. George Weber, Streator; and one brother, Richard Pfeiffer, Peoria. Three brothers and one sister preceded him in death.
Mr. Pfeiffer had lived here all his life and was a commercial fisherman for 35 years. He retired about 15 years ago.
The body has been taken to the Noel Funeral Home where friends may call. Services will be held at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Lakeside Cemetery.
