The funeral of Mrs. Anna Hafdahl was held yesterday at Kenyon, the Rev. H. O. Fjeldstad of the Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault officiating. The remains were laid to rest in the Moland cemetery. Mrs. Anna Hafdahl, who at the time of her death was 87 years of age, had been a resident of Goodhue county since the early seventies. She had a large circle of acquaintances in Faribault who were greatly grieved to learn of her death. Several from here attended the funeral rites. Mrs. Hafdahl was born January 13, 1836, to John and Sigrid Kleeberg at Stordalen, Norway. She came to America with her parents in 1866, the family settling in Wisconsin. In the early seventies they moved to Minnesota, making their home in Goodhue county. She was married to Halvor Hafdahl in 1877 and to their union two children, Henry Hafdahl and Sigrid, now Mrs. Nels Oppegard, were born, Mrs. Hafdahl is also survived by a brother, John, of Northfield and two sisters, Karen Olson of Portland, Oregon, and Serine Kyllo, of Goodhue county. She died September 7, 1923 at the age of 87 years 7 months and 24 days. Those from Faribault who attended the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Iver Hegg, Mrs. James Hanson and Mrs. Alfred Fleckenstein, a niece of Mrs. Hafdahl.
