Nina Sams Effinger, of Bristol, TN passed away on March 7, 2011 at NHC in Bristol, VA. She was born in Sullivan County a daughter to the late Alfred and Molly Woods Sams. She worked as an LPN at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, MI before returning to Bristol in 1978. After her return she worked at Bristol Memorial Hospital. Nina enjoyed cooking and working in her flowers. She attended Central Christian Church and Avoca Christian Church.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday at 2 pm at Shelby Hills Cemetery with Minister Ron Whitaker officiating.
