She was born in Todd Township to Lewis and Corilla (Houseberg) Miller. She was married Sept. 9, 1919, to Carl Robert Schifer, who died June 27, 1969
Surviving her are five daughters and sons-in-law, Bertha and Wayne Rothlisberger of Upper Sandusky, Mary Lucile and Charles Estermyer of Las Vegas, Mildred L. and Rudy Sharkey of Barberton, Barbara E. and George Miller of Marion, and Helen E. and James Case of Bucyrus, two sons and daughters-in-law, Frederick M. and Mary Ann Schifer of Bucyrus and Ralph G. and Norma Schifer of Bucyrus, 53 grandchildren, 67 great-grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were four sons, Paul, Earl, Vern and Dale, four brothers, two sisters, four grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
A homemaker and farmwife, Mrs. Schifer lived her entire life in the same area and attended the Lemert school. She was a member of Good Hope Lutheran Church.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. in the Munz-Pirnstill Funeral Home. The Rev. Michael Wiechers will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery.
