14 August. Mrs. Lucas was 78 years of age. Her health had been breaking for some time
past and the end was not unexpected. Mrs. Lucas leaves to Mourn her loss besides a
husband, 8 sons and 2 daughters. John, Andrew, Matilda ( Mrs. James Bryson ), James
Robert, Thomas Jr., George, William, Mary ( Mrs. Richard Bryson ) and Samuel. Mrs.
Lucas was born in Perth County. Her Maiden name being Mary Lusk. Fifty-six years ago
she married Mr. Thomas Lucas and since then has resided on the London Road. The
funeral took place on Sunday afternoon to the Wyoming Cemetery.
