Well known naturalist and farmer Samuel "Fox" Lucas, a lifetime resident near Reece's Corners, died Thursday in St. Joseph's Hospital. For a number of years he maintained a small zoo and fox farm on his property.

He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Lucas and was the last of a family of ten children.

He is survived by his wife the former Lavina Jackson. He had no family, but raised several nieces and nephews who also survive.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at McKay and White Funeral Home, Wyoming with interment in the Wyoming Cemetery.
