Funeral services for Robert Lucas were conducted on Saturday afternoon by L.O.L. NO.1 029, Brooke. Mr. Lucas aged 91 years had been an invalid for a number of years. He was a lifelong resident of the Brooke Warwick townline. Mrs. Lucas, who was formerly Matilda Edwards, predeceased him in August of last year. A short service was conducted at his residence and the graveside service was directed by L.O.L. No.1029. The ballbearers were Arthur Higgins, Absalom Lucas, T .H. Lucas, Saunders Lucas and B. Sutton. The Rev. J.H. Hosford was in charge of the service. Interment was in St. James cemetery Brooke.
