The funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Effingham, with burial in Oakridge Cemetery, Effingham. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Johnson Funeral Home, Effingham, and at the church for one hour before the service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Lincolnland or St. John's Lutheran Church.
Mr. Konrad was born Dec. 18, 1924, in Shumway, the son of Arthur E. and Beulah E. (Hancock) Konrad. He married Helen Devall in 1951.
He was a State Farm insurance agent in Effingham for 30 years and was formerly employed by Illinois Power Co. in Decatur. He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Effingham, and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War 2.
Surviving are his wife; sons, Michael of Brooksville, Fla., Scott of New York City, N.Y., Kurt of Charleston; brother, Arthur E. Jr. of LaGrange; sister, Jackie Henderson of Hampton, Iowa; one grand daughter and one stepgrandson.
