Young Romeiser had been exceptionally jolly and gay Sunday evening, and entertained the rest of the family with music. Some time after 11 o'clock he retired to his room which he occupied with his brother, Alvin Romeiser.
Mr. Romeiser, the father of the boy, remained up a short time longer to read the paper. On his way to his room the father heard Alvin make a remark to his brother, asking him to move over in bed. At the same time he heard labored breathing. He entered the room to ascertain what what was wrong and found Roland dying.
Roland Romeiser was born in this city on March 7, 1889. He graduated from the Belleville High School last June, and was president of the class. The deceased was an exceedingly talented musician and composed the class son for the class with which he graduated.
He leaves, besides his parents, three brothers, Dr. Theodore Romeiser, in New York City; Edwin and Alvin Romeiser, here; and three sisters, Misses Emma, Petronella and Corona Romeiser, all of here.
The death of the young man is a great blow to the members of the Romeiser family, who are prostrate with grief.
