On Aug. 14, 1867, Barbara married Emanuel Kring, born Mar. 18, 1848, of Nappanee, Indiana, died Nov 11, 1915, in Elkhart, Ind., to George and Eyva (Joseph) Kring, of Nappanee, Indiana.
Barbara's occupation was a hard working farmers wife.
Like most people in the mid 1800's, religion was a large part of their lives, the Kring's were no exception, they were members of The Church of The Brethren.
The union between Barbara and Emanuel was blessed with 10 children; Norman (1887-1958), Mary (1870-1929), George (1872-1892), Susan (1874-1958), Henry (1876-1879) William (1878-1879) John (1880-1948), Margaret (1883-1965), Jesse (1885-1894), Samuel (1885-1964).
On Oct. 25, 1898, her birthday, Barbara passed away, in her home, after a short illness.
She was laid to rest in Hepton Union Cemetery, Nappanee, Indiana.
