ALVIN "ALVIE" SAALFRANK, 69, of Hoagland, died yesterday at Lutheran Hospital. The Fort Wayne native was a home builder for 50 years. He was also a member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church. Surviving are his wife, Barbara; sons, Bill Clarke of Marietta, Ga., Nick Clarke of Fort Wayne, Mark Saalfrank and Steve Saalfrank, both of Hoagland, and Tim Saalfrank of New Haven; a daughter, Cynthia Baker of Fort Wayne; brothers, Wilmer of Hoagland and Norm of Fort Wayne; a sister, Lorene Bouman of Hoagland; and five grandchildren. Services are 11 a.m. tomorrow at the church, 9909 Wayne Trace. Calling is 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. today D.O. McComb & Sons Foster Park Funeral Home, 6301 Fairfield Ave., and 10 to 11 a.m. tomorrow.
