Funeral services were held this Monday afternoon at St. James Lutheran church at Holland for Mrs. Emelie Weinkauf of Holland whose death occurred on Friday, May 5. Rev. A. J. Stoskopf conducted the services and there was music by Mildred and Alma Nielsen as vocalists, with Mrs. Herman Conrad at the organ. Burial was in the Holland cemetery and the following gentlemen acted as pallbearers [all are her nephews]: Walter Conrad, Louis Conrad, Herman Conrad, Eric Conrad, Adolph Weinkauf and Walter Quade. Mrs. Weinkauf was born in Germany, July 16, 1871 . She was nearly 79 years old at the time of her death. Immigrated in 1880 with her family. Married Gottlieb Henry Weinkauf in 1889. They had several children, but only 3 survived to adulthood: Fred, Elsie and Alvina.

"Wilhelmine Conrad, daughter of Michael and Justine Conrad, was born at Buchwerder, Posen, Germany on February 29, 1852 and died at the age of 84 years, 7 months and 10 days.
She was baptized in early infancy and after due instruction was confirmed in the Lutheran church
at Czarnickau, Posen, Germany"
She was a small woman. Less than 5 feet tall.
