Mrs. Earnest Wilcox;
Cleghorn Resident
CLEGHORN Mrs. Earnest (Anna Mae) Wilcox, 50, of Cleghorn died Sunday in St Vincent's Hospital, Sioux City, after a four-month illness. Her home was on a farm in Sheridan Township. She had been a resident of this community nearly her entire life.
Anna Mae Nielsen was born Jan. 26, 1929, in Cherokee County. On Sept. 11, 1949, she married Mr. Wilcox in
Cleghorn. Mrs. Wilcox was a member of the Cleghorn Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include sons, Mark, Roger and Billy, all of Cleghorn; a daughter, Mrs. Brock (Joanne) Lehman, Fremont,
Neb.; a grandson, Brock Earnest Lehman; brothers,, Niels Nielsen, Cleghorn, and Andy Nielsen, Worthington, Minn;
and sisters, Mrs. Leo(Elizabeth) Pedersen, Cherokee; Mrs. Stanley(Margaret) Birch, Cleghorn; Mrs. Leo(Marie) French, Meriden; Mrs. Edgar(Esther) Hagey, Marcus; Mrs. Don(Vera) Wiese, Larrabee, and Mrs.Howard (Elma) Lundell, Livingston,Wis.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband on July 28, 1976, and a son, Eddie, in 1951.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday in the Cleghorn Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Vernon Cravens officiating. Burial will be in the Marcus-Amherst Cemetery under the direction of the Boothby Funeral Home, Cherokee.
A family prayer service will be held at 10:15 in the church parlors.
