Former Kenesaw resident Mattie J Bockerman, 92, died Saturday, April 25, 1998 at Good Samaritan Village Perkins Pavilion.

Services are Tuesday at Christ Lutheran Church near Juniata with the Rev Brian Pummill officiating. Burial will be in Concordia Cemetery near Juniata.

Mrs Bockerman was born Feb 25, 1906, to Ulfert and Sophia (Flesner) Ocker in Glenvil. On Oct. 12, 1932, she married Herman "Hip" Bockerman in Glenvil. They farmed in the Prosser area. In 1981 they moved to a farm in the Kenesaw area. She was a housekeeper at Haven Home in Kenesaw for five years. Her husband died Feb 19, 1984. In 1994 she moved to Good Samaritan Village.

She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church and Lutheran Women's Missionary League.

Survivors are two daughters, L Jeanine Dahlsten of Clay Center and Elaine Welch of Albuquerque, NM; three sisters, Claire Garrelts of Glenvil and Marie Fike and Esther Spencer, both of Fairfield; seven grandchildren; and '14 great-grandchildren.

She also was preceded in death by four brothers and five sisters.

Jackon-Wilson Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
