Prospect, June 25 - At her home near Prospect yesterday occurred the death of Mrs. George Waghorn. The deceased had been in poor health for the past ten years. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rachel Paine and was born at Owego in 1838. In 1861 she was united in matrimony to George W. Waghorn of New York Mills. After a year spent at this place, they removed to Prospect, where they have lived for forty years. To this happy union five children were born. They are Mrs. Curtis Wilcox of Prospect, Mrs. Ernest Loucks of Floyd Hill, George of Cedar Lake, John of North Gage and Fred of North Litchfield. She also leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband and children, three sisters, Mrs. Mary Cornett of Oneida, Mrs. Harriet Graham of Utica and Mrs. Lucy Weaver of Marcy; also three brothers, George of Oneida, Joseph of Oneida and William of Forestport, also twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild. She was a Christian woman, having united with the F. W. Baptist Church in this village many years ago and was a kind neighbor and a loving and devoted mother. The funeral will be held Sunday from the house at 1 o'clock and at the F.W. Baptist Church at 2 o'clock. Utica Herald Dispatch, Friday Evening, June 25, 1909
