Mr. Matt is survived by his wife, Kathryn; one daughter and son-in-law, Mary Lawrence and Frank S. Owens of Clinton; four sons and daughters-in-law, F. X. II and Lillian; Kemper and Angela of New Hartford, Walter J., Jr. and Linda of Buffalo and Nicholas and Susan of Daren, Conn.; one sister, Mrs. Edwin B. Welch of Utica; there are 19 grandchildren. Mr. Matt was predeceased by his brother, Francis M. Matt.
