Published in Der Nordstern (St. Cloud German newspaper):

Melrose
At an age of just over 40 years, the spouse of Joseph Budde was well-prepared for the inevitable passing into eternity on Saturday; the result of a difficult birth. The deceased was to her sorely-tested spouse a faithful partner and caring mother to her eight children, whose welfare was her highest calling. As a member of the womens' group, under their auspices she was buried on Tuesday morning after a requiem mass in St. Bonifacius Church. A large crowd was gathered at the burial; proof that the deceased was a pure woman to the grave. May she rest in peace! Our sympathy to her spouse and now motherless children.
