Funeral services were held this afternoon for Mrs. Rudolph Recknagel, 65, who died Friday night at her home in the town Of Lafayette, Walworth county. The funeral was from the Recknagel home, and services were held at 2 p. m. at St. Paul's Lutheran church, East Troy. Burial was in Oak Ridge cemetery, East Troy. Mrs. Recknagel, whose maiden name was Emma Heese, was born in Germany, Feb. 26, 1877. She came to the United States as a girl of 11. The family settled near Fort Atkinson. On June 18, 1905, she became the bride of Rudolph Recknagel. Following their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Recknagel lived near Dancy, Wis., until 1919, when they moved to their present home. Surviving are her husband, three children, Mrs. Henry Strohm, Waterford; Mrs. Lester Brophy, Springfield, and Paul Recknagel, Burlington. She also is survived by two grandchildren.
