Lisa Noerr Rivera, 33, of Kearneysville, West Virginia, formerly of Punxsutawney, Pa, died Sunday, May 15, 2011, at Winchester Medical Center in Virginia.

Born August 10, 1977, in Punxsutawney, she was the daughter of Harry E. and Carol Stahlman Noerr.

Mrs. Rivera was a 1995 graduate of Punxsutawney Area High School and a 2000 graduate of Indiana Universisty of Pennsyvania. She received her master's degree from Old Dominion University.

After graduation she taught school and lived with her aunt Judy Stahlman in Cleveland, Ohio.

She married Daniel R. Rivera on May 5, 2006. He survives.

Mrs. Rivera was an elementary school teacher at Prince William County School District in Virginia.

In addition to her parents of Punxsutawney and her husband, survivors include two daughters, Claire Rivera and Lucy Rivera; a sister, Lori Ebel and her husband, John of Punxsutawney; and a brother, Scott Noerr and his wife, Heidi, of Chardon, Ohio.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today (Wednesday), May 18, and from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, May 19, at Deeley Funeral Home in Punxsutawney.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 20, 2011, at the funeral home with the Rev. John Buchmann officiating.

Interment will be Worthville Cemetery.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rivera children's educational fund.
