DIED PETER KLINKHAMMER. Word was received Sunday by Mrs John Schweitzer of the death at Union Hill Minnesota of her father Peter Klinkhammer. The Schweitzer's left early Monday morning for Union Hill in response to the death message. C. H. Klinkhammer, a son, lives at Adrian, Garret lives at Sioux City Iowa, John in New York state, Rev Father Wm. Klinkhammer at East Grand Forks Minnesota. Deceased was a type of hardy German pioneer and until his last and only illness drove his own automobile, making the trip here and back to his home alone yearly of visits to his daughter and son. A veteran of the Civil War, Mr Klinkhammer was still living with a daughter on the old
homestead in Scott county, which he occupied for the last 65 years. He owns 400 acres of land lying between here and Adrian in addition to his Scott county holdings and property in Ellsworth and other towns. Frank and Edward Lenz also motored to Union Hill to attend his funeral.
