Conrad Hinkle, sr., 74, employee of the Lincoln school board for 22 years until retirement five years ago, died Sunday night at his home, 689 Hayes.
He had lived in Lincoln since 1910. He was born in Marka, Russia, and came to the United States in 1907, living three years at Harrington, Kas.
He was a member of Ebenezer Congregational church. He and Mrs. Hinkle celebrated their 56th year of marriage in 1946.
Surviving are his wife, Katherine; two sons, John and Conrad, jr.; two daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Barker of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Lena Hanneman of Lincoln; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
