BUXTON - Linda Celeste Casey Midgett, 91, died Wednesday, Nov. 6, at a Nags Head nursing facility.
Mrs. Midgett was born in Buxton and was a homemaker. She was a member of the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Buxton.
She was the daughter of the late James Oliver and Cora Lee Spencer Casey and widow of Edmond Daily Midgett.
She is survived by one daughter, Loretta O'Neal of Buxton; one son, Edmond Midgett of Wenonah, N.J.; 3 sisters: Nonie Gaskill, presently residing at Britthaven Nursing Home in Nags Head, Edna Gray of Norfolk, Va. and Myrtle Braxton of Edenton; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild.
A funeral service will take place Nov. 8 at Lighthouse Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Shawn Mizelle officiating. Burial will follow in the Midgett Family Cemetery. Twiford's Colony Chapel in Manteo is in charge of these arrangements.
