Funeral services for Clara Dankowski, 84, wife of the late Michael Dankowski, will be held Monday at 10 a.m. in the Rogan mortuary chapel.
The Rev. Frank Price of the Episcopal Church of the Holy Communion will conduct the rites and burial will be in the Dankowski family plot in Mountain View cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Ole Anselmi, Angelo Anselmi, George Berta, John Frullo Sr., Modesto Grasso and Stanley Wendt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Alphonse Bertagnolli, William Evers, William Hutton, Robert Maxwell, George Stephens and W.D. Thompson.
Mrs. Dankowski died Thursday evening at the home of her son, John E. Dankowski, in Green River.
She was born Aug. 16, 1878, in Derbyshire, England, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joel Walters who brought her to Rock Springs when she was two years old. She lived here the rest of her life and was married in Rock Springs in 1897 to Michael J. Dankowski. Mr. Dankowski, who served Sweetwater county as sheriff between 1932 and 1943, died here in July, 1954.
Survivors are two sons, John Dankowski of Green River and Wilbur J. Dankowski of Santa Monica, Calif. Also surviving are three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
