Funeral services for Mr. Herman R. Shuttlesworth, 80, of Jackson, were held Saturday, September 21, at 10 a.m. at the Thompson Funeral Home Chapel in Frankston with the Rev. Paul Chitwood officiating.

Burial will be in the Liberty Hill Cemetery near Frankston.

Mr. Shuttlesworth died Wednesday, September 18, in a Jacksonville hospital after an extended illness.

He had lived at Jacksonville since 1948. He was a retired carpenter and a member and deacon of the First Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Emma Shuttlesworth of Jacksonville; two daughters, Mrs. June Beth Badgett of Burleson, Mrs. Verena Bennett of Dallas, two step-sons, Kenneth Henderson and Cone Henderson, both of Jacksonville; four step-daughters, Mrs. Jean Hampton, of El Paso, Mrs. Den Foreman, of Arlington, Mrs. Shirley Culver, of Weatherford, and Mrs. Coneta Meador, of Jacksonville; four sisters, Mrs. Lillian Dowdy of Arp, Mrs. Ruby Jordon of Houston, Mrs. Ruth Gwosadz, od Vicyoria, and Mrs. Juanita Jorgenson of Longview; seven grandchildren; Twenty-Tow step-grandchildren; and twenty-three step-great-grandchildren.

Nephews served as pallbearers.
