Mr. Kruse was born in Oldenburg, Germany, October 22, 1854. In 1872 he came to Utica and had since lived here.
In 1911 Mr. Kruse opened delicatessen and creamery store on South street, which he had since conducted successfully.
He was a member of St. Mary's Church and was connected with the C.M.B.A of that parish while it existed.
He married Miss Christina Dehs of this city 40 years ago, who survives with two sons, John, Utica and Alexander, Detroit. He leaves also a sister, Mrs. Adam (Regina) Echter of this city. Utica Observer Dispatch, Tuesday, September 30, 1924
