The funeral of Mrs. Ferdinand Schunke took place at the Bull Run Lutheran church Monday and the number of old friends who came to pay their last respects to the deceased, taxed the capacity of the church. Rev. Mr. Mueller of Freedom preached the funeral sermon. Mrs. Schunke's maiden name was Dahlman and she was born in Germany, November 30, 1838. She had been a resident of Waseca County since 1881 and has one brother, Wm. Dahlman, resident in Freedom Township. She was the mother of eight children, four of whom are living. They are Amelia Flemming, Tillie Klampe of Janesville, Mrs. August Jeddeloh of Vivian and Mrs. Wm. Thom of Alberta Canada. For a number of years Mrs. Schunke has made her home with Mrs. Michel Flemming.
