Roberta Pytlik, age 94, died May 7, 2011 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City, ND. Funeral Services will be conducted at 10:30 AM Thursday, May 12, 2011 at the United Congregational Church of Christ in Valley City with Rev. Carleton Borden officiating. Visitation will be from 4PM until 8 PM Wednesday at the Lerud-Schuldt Funeral Home and one hour prior to services on Thursday. Interment will be in Memory Gardens Cemetery later in the spring.
Roberta Madeline Pytlik was born Aug 18, 1916 at Bremer, ND the daughter of Oliver and Bessie (Anderson) Thone. She moved with her family to Valley City, ND when she was six. She was married to Alvin Pytlik on Jan. 18, 1940 at Moorhead, MN. During WW II while Alvin was in service she attended the New York School of Hair Design. She later worked at Macs Cleaners and Northwestern Industries for many years. Roberta and Alvin raised two children, Leon (Marleen) Pytlik and Gayle (Mike) Hoff. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Dean and Christiane Lewellyn, Mick and Robyn Pytlik, Joe and Lori Pytlik, Beth and David Thune, David and Andrea Lewellyn, and Darin and Jen Pytlik, Great grandchildren: Dylan, Roberta, Kendra, Melissa, Michaela, Erica, Joel, Ian, Leota, Evan, Tegan, and Cooper, and a great great grandson: Daedyn. Roberta was preceded in death by her parents, husband, four brothers, two sisters, and a granddaughter.
