Death certificate shows Catherine Wirth was the daughter of R. Haist and Christina Bush (both of Germany, female, white, married, housewife, born August 12, 1849 Germany and died on January 9, 1917 Osceola Twp., Osceola Co., Mich at the age of 67 years 4 months and 9 days, cause of death Bronchitis. Informant G. B. Wilson of Evart, Mich. Burial was on January 13, 1917 German Cemetery, Evart, Michigan.

Mrs. Jacob Würth, Sr.
The death of this esteemed lady was briefly announced in our last issue. Mrs. Catherine Würth was born Aug. 11, 1849 at Wurttanburg, Germany, died at Evart, Michigan, of bronchitis, January 9, 1917. She received a christian education, was converted in her youth and united with the Methodist church in Germany. She was united in marriage to Jacob Würth, December 26, 1886, in Germany. Mr. and Mrs. Würth and family came to America in 1887, and located the same year at Evart, they having occupied the same home until her death.
Soon after her arrival here she united with the Evangelical church and has been a true and faithful member. She was a devoted companion to her husband and a loving mother to her children. She was preceeded by her loving daughter, Christina, who died two years ago, October 11, 1914. She leaves to mourn her death, her companion, Jacob Würth, six children, four sons, and two daughters.: Jacob Würth Jr., of Reed City: Mrs. Mary Schultz of Albion: Rev. C.H. Würth, of Bad Axe: Mrs. Barbara Tennant, of Stevens Point, Wis., Ezra and Otto Würth at home, several sisters and brothers and many friends.
The funersl services were held Saturday morning from the home and at the Evangelical church, and were conducted by Rev. Reibel, of Reed City, assisted by her pastor, Rev. Donnenworth, of Evart. Interment in the Evangelical cemetery Osceola township.
Among those attending the funeral were: Jacob Haist, Christ Haist: Miss Mary Haist, Rudolph Haist, of Reed City, and Mrs. Andrew Klump and Mrs. Barbara Ritchart, of Hersey, brothers and sister of deceased and many friends of the family from, out of town.---------Card Of Thanks-------We herby wish to express our deep appreciation to our neighbors and friends for the assistance rendered us and sympathy expressed during the illness of our beloved mother and companion.
