Bessie W. Butler, 99, a resident of
the Green Home, died there Monday.
Apr. 21. 1986. Her husband,
Bert F. Butler, died in March 1944.
Born at Elmer, Potter County,
Sept. 10,1886. she was a daughter of
Andrew and Susan Gilbert Wallis.
Mrs. Butler was a member of
Wellsboro United Methodist
Church.
She was a retired employee of
Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Butler was a charter member
of Elkland Chapter 134. Order of the
Eastern Star
Surviving are two stepdaughters.
Mrs. Jennie Jordan and Mrs. Edna
Casbeer, both of Wellsboro: a
stepson, Ralph Butler, of Beaver
Dams. N.Y.: two nieces, Mrs. Janet
Young of Elkland and Mrs. Crescence
Boinske of Blossburg. and
several stepgrandchildren and
stepgreat-grandchildren
The funeral was held at 3 p m today.
Apr. 23. at the Tussey-Mosher
Funeral Home. Wellsboro Burial
was in Wellsboro Cemetery'
The Rev. James W Garthoff, a retired
United Methodist minister, officiated.
The family provided flowers Contributions

ed Methodist Church or the charity
