Clinton MO - The life span of Mrs. Lizzie Tubbesing was ended Tuesday, Nov 12, 1957, at 3:20 p.m., at the Wetzel Hospital in Clinton where she had entered as a patient the preceding Sunday evening. Lizzie Anna Ludemann was born Jan 1, 1879, in Jefferson County, MO, about 30 miles south of St. Louis. She was one of five children born to Frederick Henry and Helena Ludemann. She was reared and educated in the community, attending school at Byrnesville. She united with St. Martin's Evangelical Church of Dittmer, where she attended services. On Nov 10, 1898, she was united in marriage to William F. Tubbesing, a young farmer living nearby. They made their home in Jefferson County until the year 1907 when they purchased a farm in Henry County, near Quarles. This was their home the remainder of their lives. On Dec 11, 1953, her beloved companion was called to his eternal home and Mrs. Tubbesing continued living on the home place in the companionship of her daughter, Huldah.
