Janet was born July 5, 1964, in Detroit, the daughter of Robert and Martha (Waterlander) Teisan. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.A. in accounting and was a CPA formerly employed by Plante & Moran in St. Joseph. She formerly was the office manager for Grace Christian School in Watervliet. She attended the First Baptist Church in Lawton.
She married Tony Kucharski Sept. 19, 1989, in Decatur, and he survives. Also surviving: a daughter, Holly Kucharski, and two sons, Anthony and Andrew Kucharski, all at home; her mother, Martha Teisan of Decatur; four sisters, Martha (Lance) Lambert of Glen Ellyn, Ill., Leah (Roy) Wendt of Parchment, Mich., Carolyn Schnur of Byron Center, Mich., and Barbara (John) Robbins of Goshen, Ind.; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Frank and Annette Kucharski of Decatur.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at the Decatur Bible Church with Pastor Lonny Carpenter officiating. Burial will be in Harrison Cemetery, Decatur. Friends may call after 12 p.m. Thursday at the church. Arrangements by Newell Funeral Home, Decatur.
