August Weinkauf, who had been a resident of Fairmount all of his life, died unexpectedly Wednesday afternoon, July 24th, following a heart attack at the farm home of his daughter Mrs. Marvin Propp.

He was born, August 28th, 1884 at Hutchinson, MN. , and came to Fairmount at the age of 14 years. In Nov. of 1912 he married Anne Matejcek at St. Paul, MN., and they lived in St. Paul for four years. He was a member of the Force.

He is survived by his wife, a daughter, Mrs. Marvin (Lucille) Propp, of Fairmount, a son, Darrel of Fargo, a brother, Otto, of Fairmount and three grandchildren. He was preceeded in death by a brother and four sisters.
