On 19 September 1803, Judith and Archelaus Jarratt are recorded in the sale of land in Goochland County, Virgina. Archelaus was recorded to have bought land in Rutherford County, Tennessee, on 4 July 1804. Judith may or may not have been living at this time. So far, no written record has been found for her after 1803. Elizabeth, Polly, Robert, and David Mitchell Jarratt are four children mentioned by name in Archelaus' will and would have been born by 1803. Archelaus then refers to his "beloved wife Rhoda and all my lawful children" in his will. Benjamin A. Jarratt was another child recorded with Archelaus in a land exchange who also would have been born by 1803.
When Archelaus died, Rhoda Smith(nee) Manor Jarratt was married to him. The last three children born to Archelaus: James Archer (b. 1825), Judith Ann (b. 1828), and Mitchell Jarratt (b. 1830) were more likely to have been children that Rhoda had with Archelaus.
