Anna Eiter was born May 27, 1867 in Prairie du Sac, Wisconsin (Sauk County), daughter of Gottfried Eiter (1824-1909) and Esther Kirchner (1844-1909). Anna was a first-generation American as both of her parents were born in Austria. The 1880 Federal Census for Sauk City, Wisconsin (Sauk County) shows Anna Eiter, age 13, born in Wisconsin; living with her father, Gottfried Eiter, a wagon maker, age 54, born in Austria; and her mother, Esther, age 35, born in Austria. Also living in the household was Anna's siblings: Theodore, age 14; Adele, age 10; and Eleanor, age 4; all born in Wisconsin.

On October 2, 1888 at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Bloomer, Wisconsin (Chippewa County), Anna married Max H. Wagner, son of Peter Joseph Wagner and Franzisca Trumer.

The 1910 Federal Census for Shawnee Ward 2, Oklahoma (Pottawatomie County) shows Anna E. Wagner, age 42, born in Wisconsin; and her husband, Max H., a grocery merchant, age 42, born in Wisconsin. The census shows that Max and Anna were both age 22 when they married and that they had given birth to five children, of which three were still living. Living with them were three children: Roy John, age 18; Edna Margaret, age 14; and Esther Frances, age 12; all born in Oklahoma. Also living in the household was Max's father, Peter J. Wagner, age 73, a widower, born in Germany.

The 1920 Federal Census for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) shows Anna E. Wagner, age 52, born in Wisconsin; and her husband, Max H. Wagner, age 53, born in Wisconsin. Living with them were two children: Edna Margaret, age 23; and Esther Frances, age 21; both both in Oklahoma. Also living in the household was Max's father, Peter J. Wagner, age 84, a widower, born in Germany.

Max died in 1932 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (Oklahoma County) and was buried there in Rose Hill Burial Park. Anna died December 30, 1947 in Oklahoma City and was buried beside her husband.
