Victoria -- Elizabeth Copp, 88, died Tuesday at Russell City Hospital.
She was a long-time resident of Gorham. She was born March 29, 1889 in Victoria, the daughter of Andrew K. and Katherine Stramel Riedel.
She married Michael Copp in 1908; he died in December 1964.
She was a member of the Victoria VFW Auxiliary and St. Mary’s Church, Gorham.
Surviving: Five sons, Luke, Gorham; Vincent, WaKenney; Albert, Russell; James, Chula Vista, Calif.; Thomas, Denver, Colo.; two daughters, Mrs. Frank (Viola) Puchalski, Wichita, and Mrs. Kenneth (Elizabeth) Kaiser, Mesquite, Texas; four sisters, Christina Brown, Commerce City, Colo.; Mary Niernberger, Wichita; Julia Hanson, Junction City; and Matilda Kingcaid, Louisburg; 38 grandchildren, 64 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Services at 10 a.m. Friday, St. Mary’s Church, Gorham, the Rev. A. J. Hecker; St. Mary’s Cemetery, Gorham. There will be a parish wake service at 8 p.m. Thursday at Cline’s Mortuary, Victoria. Friends may call at thre mortuary until the time of service.
