Christian Glander of the Town of Hubbard died yesterday, Thursday morning, at the age of 73 years, ten months and three days. The deceased was born in Pomerania, Germany, and there married Miss Maria Pagel. Shortly after the wedding they emigrated to America and settled in the Town of Hubbard. From the marriage arose three children, August and Heinrich Glander, both in the town of Hubbard and Mrs. Hermann Wegner, who lives in Horicon. His wife preceded him in death and he later married again to Maria Luebs, from whom two daughters, Minnie and Emma, were born. The former is married to Louis Attenberger in the town of Williamstown, while the younger is still single and is staying with her mother. On Monday, October 26, Mr. Glander had the misfortune that his horse shied away and he was thrown from the wagon, while he was on his way to the butter-factory, where he was going to drive milk. He recovered from an unconscious state and closer examination revealed that he had suffered serious internal injuries and a broken arm. His burial is tomorrow, Saturday afternoon at 1 p.m., from the house of mourning, conducted by Pastor Plass. Our condolences to the bereaved.
