Billy Holland
Billy Holland, age 73 of Whitney, died May 3, 1996 in a Temple hospital. Graveside services were held May 5, 1996 at Whitney Memorial Park with Rev. John Pelham officiating.
Mr. Holland was born August 2, 1922 in Whitney. He lived most of his life in the Whitney area. He married Beatrice Bennett July 7, 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during W.W.II in Italy. He is preceded in death by a brother, Frank Holland Jr. and a sister Dorothy Holland. He was a lifetime member of the VFW in Whitney.
Mr. Holland is survived by his wife, Beatrice Holland of Whitney; two sons, Ronnie Holland and his wife Elaine of Mexia and Gene Holland of Whitney; one brother, Jack Holland of San Antonio; one sister, Doris Hue of Pierpoint, Louisiana; one granddaughter, Ronda Van Meter and her husband Vernon of Pasadena; two great grandchildren, Robie Van Meter and Jessica Lynn Van Meter of Pasadena; and several nieced and nephews.
Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors of Whitney were in charge of funeral arrangements.
