He was born in Russia & had come to the US in 1912 residing in OK and Scottsbluff before moving to Lincoln in 1927. Surviving are a daughter Mrs William Grage of Lincoln; sons Walter of Lincoln; Henry & Harold both of Scottsbluff & Fred of Gary, Indiana; a brother Henry & a sister Mrs Julia Specht both of Scottsbluff; 9 grandchildren & 1 great grandchild. (Note: It is believed that his first wife Pauline Weimer died coming over from Russia. His son Henry was from this marriage. In 1914 he married Katherine "Katie" Leiphardt in Oklahoma. She was the mother of all the other children. She died in 1923. On Dec 2, 1924 David married a widow, Katherine Margaret MAUL GEIER in Lincoln, Nebraska.)
