DUMONT - Matie Handorf, 93, of Dumont, died Monday, Oct. 23, 2000, at Allen Hospital in Waterloo of congestive heart failure. Mrs. Handorf owned and operated Dairy Creme in Dumont and worked as a cook at Dumont School for 20 years. She is survived by a daughter, Doris Crandall of Cedar Falls; a son, James of Cedar Falls; five grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and a great great grandchild. She was preceded by a son, Delmar Struthoff, four grandsons, a brother, Harold Struthoff and a sister, Anna Tjabring. Service will be 10:30 Saturday at Dumont UMC with burial in Dumont Cemetery. Sietsema-Vogel Funeral Home is in charge. Memorials to Dumont Public Library Building Fund.
